Contador General – San Salvador

About the role

The company is seeking a General Accountant to lead and manage the full financial and operational cycle of its department in San Salvador. The role ensures accurate treasury management, invoicing, and handling of accounts receivable and payable while supporting senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and control the department’s financial and operational processes, guaranteeing proper treasury, billing, and accounts receivable/payable management.
• Ensure precise account reconciliations to support internal and external audit activities.
• Maintain strict compliance with all tax obligations and liaise with relevant authorities.
• Develop and execute strategies that directly support senior leadership, optimizing departmental processes and resources.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Economics, Accounting, or a related field (mandatory).
• Current professional registration (mandatory).
• Master’s degree in Business Administration (desirable).
• At least 2 years of experience, preferably in construction or a similar sector.
• Advanced knowledge of IFRS standards, tax legislation, and tax management.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with IFRS standards.
• Strong experience using SAP.
• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• In‑depth understanding of tax laws and tax administration.
