Contador – Operaciones Contables

About the role

The company seeks an experienced Accountant to support the management and control of its accounting operations, particularly within construction, purchasing and administration areas. The role ensures accurate recording, classification and backup of financial transactions while complying with Salvadoran accounting and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain up‑to‑date accounting entries for the company.
• Prepare journal entries, provisions, reclassifications and adjustments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate differences.
• Support monthly closing processes and the preparation of financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, verifying invoices and supporting documents.
• Maintain project‑related accounting records, including construction costs and cost‑center reporting.
• Assist with tax obligations and prepare required documentation.
• Coordinate with Construction, Purchasing and Administration teams to validate and reconcile financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting.
• At least 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience in construction, real‑estate development or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Salvadoran accounting standards and tax legislation (IVA, withholdings, etc.).
• Proven ability to conduct monthly closings, bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Own vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
