Coordinator, Customer Operations

About the role

The Coordinator, Customer Operations oversees the physical movement of inbound and outbound shipments, handling distribution to domestic and international customers, distribution centers, warehouses, and offices. This role ensures efficient logistics operations while supporting rate creation and vendor management.

Key responsibilities

• Create profitable and competitive rates and review costs and marketing data to develop rate offerings.
• Negotiate pricing and rates for specific commodities.
• Analyze and qualify vendors, negotiating service contracts.
• Conduct project analysis and prepare cost models.
• Coordinate company interests with shippers and make decisions on rates within guidelines.
• Support pricing policy decisions and refer complex pricing structures to higher authority when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary coursework or job‑related training preferred.
• 0–1 years of general office experience; 6 months in the transportation industry preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Ability to travel as necessary.
