Director - Digital (El Salvador Digital Leader)

About the role

RSM, a global provider of professional services to the middle market, is looking for a Director - Digital (El Salvador Digital Leader) in San Salvador. As the senior firm-facing technology leader for RSM US in El Salvador, the role is accountable for technology operations, business enablement, resilience and the execution of agreed global technology direction. It leads El Salvador-based technology capabilities while connecting local delivery to global standards, direction and leadership forums.

Key responsibilities

• Own technology service delivery quality, operational resilience, staffing, vendor performance and investment recommendations for El Salvador-based technology teams, and set El Salvador-specific SLAs, capacity plans and escalation paths aligned to global standards.
• Manage the technology workforce, including hiring, performance management, leadership development, succession planning and talent retention, and coach and mentor technology professionals.
• Ensure continuity and improvement of existing IT services, including development and operations, aligned with the US CTO.
• Define the governance and execution model linking El Salvador delivery teams to US-led capability groups, and choose the right delivery model (managed hybrid, center of excellence, shared services or embedded) for each capability.
• Exercise decision rights on priorities, workforce plans, vendors and service performance, and represent El Salvador technology in the technology leadership group.
• Serve as the primary technology relationship leader for El Salvador business leadership, translating business demand into technology priorities, capacity plans and investment decisions.
• Drive the El Salvador-specific fiscal year technology roadmap aligned to the global technology 2030 vision, advise US leadership on local administrative and cultural matters, and form part of the El Salvador Executive Leadership Team.
• Develop the next generation of technology leaders, formalize the organizational leadership structure for technology in El Salvador, and manage local vendor and partner relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience; a Master's degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of IT management experience.
• 5 years of experience in customer service, engineering or software development organizations at scale.
• 5 years of experience managing, mentoring and developing people; experience building and leading global support, engineering or software development organizations is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
