About the role
The Director of Sourcing Planning & Business Development serves as the strategic architect linking Sourcing Operations with the commercial growth engines of North America and Latin America. This role ensures the sourcing footprint is agile, scalable and digitally enabled, turning operational capacity into a competitive advantage.
Key responsibilities
- Represent Sourcing Allocation & Planning in strategic initiatives such as FPS and TRANSFORM, collaborating with GPS, PD, BU Planning and other partners.
- Lead the regional planning team, ensuring compliance with company standards and alignment with functional heads.
- Own availability KPI performance and apply the SPIKE framework to drive improvements.
- Orchestrate between Sales/Business Development and Sourcing Operations to validate new market demands against supply infrastructure.
- Identify emerging business opportunities across NCAM by analysing market trends, trade shifts and competitive landscapes.
- Develop business cases for new product categories or regional expansion, assessing supplier scalability and quality impact.
- Maintain a comprehensive heat‑map of supplier capabilities, highlighting strengths, limitations and untapped capacity.
- Design and oversee a regional supply‑demand synchronization plan to prepare the supplier base for seasonal peaks and long‑term growth.
- Promote regionalization to reduce landed costs and lead times, leveraging trade agreements such as USMCA and CAFTA.
- Present quarterly strategic reviews to executive leadership on regional health, balancing growth metrics with supplier performance.
Required profile
- Proven experience in sourcing, supply‑chain planning or related business development functions.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate market insights into actionable supply‑chain initiatives.
- Leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams and driving KPI performance.
- Excellent analytical skills to evaluate supplier capabilities, market trends and trade opportunities.
- Ability to communicate complex plans to senior executives and partner groups.
