About the role

We are looking for a Pattern Designer to join the Pre‑Press team at SMLSML, a global label and tag brand serving major fashion brands and retailers. The role involves preparing artwork and layouts for various production processes, ensuring they meet technical specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create print layouts according to the requirements of each printing technology.
• Review and validate artwork and layouts to ensure production readiness.
• Adapt and modify artwork received from external suppliers.
• Produce artwork for Customer Service, Sales, Product Development and Production areas.
• Design die‑cut layouts based on established specifications.
• Support quotation management for RFID die‑cuts.
• Track plate orders and other departmental requests.
• Maintain up‑to‑date production information in designated tools.
• Assist with other Pre‑Press related activities as needed.

Required profile

• Fourth‑year graphic design student or recent graduate.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests.
• Result‑oriented and team‑player mindset.

Required skills

• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Knowledge of Flexography, Heat Transfer and Digital Printing technologies
• Understanding of color management (CMYK, RGB, LAB, PANTONE)
• Color separation and measurement systems (mm, inches)
• Intermediate Microsoft Office
• Basic knowledge of RFID (plus)
