Enfermero/a – Cuidados Oncológicos Pediátricos

About the role

Join a dedicated team of nurses providing essential care to pediatric oncology patients, both ambulatory and hospitalized. The position involves rotating shifts and focuses on delivering high‑quality treatment while adhering to institutional and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct care to high‑ and medium‑risk pediatric oncology patients.
• Deliver curative and preventive care to patients and their families.
• Participate in planning and delivering in‑service education programs.
• Conduct educational talks for parents and patients.
• Assist in departmental educational activities.
• Develop and implement supervision plans.
• Follow MSPAS, institutional, and nursing department protocols.
• Manage shift handovers, medication inventory, and cytostatic cards.
• Coordinate with oncology hospitalization, blood bank, laboratory, and other hospital units.
• Perform procedures such as port catheter needle placement and Certofix wound care.
• Execute any other duties assigned based on experience and expertise.

Required profile

• Licensed Bachelor of Nursing (Licenciatura en Enfermería).
• Residence in San Salvador or surrounding areas.
• Availability to work rotating shifts.

Required skills

• Cytostatic preparation and handling.
• Blood transfusion management.
• Medication inventory control.
