ETL/Data Engineer - Remote

About the role

BairesDev, a technology project company with more than 15 years of experience and a remote-first team of 4,000+ engineers, is hiring an ETL/Data Engineer. The role designs and implements data processing systems and ETL pipelines that turn raw data into business insights, supporting analytics and business intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data processing systems.
• Build and optimize data architectures for efficient extraction, transformation and loading.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems.
• Work with data analysts and business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and cost.
• Troubleshoot complex pipeline issues while keeping systems stable.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in ETL development, data engineering or related fields.
• Understanding of database design, data modeling and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with version control systems and data pipeline orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of data quality assurance and monitoring best practices.
• Advanced level of English.
