Financial Planning - Senior Analyst (Opex)

About the role

TELUS Digital, the digital division of TELUS, is looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis professional to support the operational management of operating expenses (Opex) and contribute to ongoing finance transformation initiatives. The role combines hands-on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting with work to improve processes, reporting capabilities and decision support for business leaders. It is a hybrid, full-time position based in San Salvador.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting for operating expenses across multiple functions
• Prepare and maintain financial models, dashboards and reports to track Opex performance and identify trends
• Conduct variance analysis and share insights on spending trends, risks and opportunities
• Support business leaders with data-driven analysis for planning and decision-making
• Assist with monthly close activities, including accruals, allocations and reconciliations
• Maintain Opex reporting templates and automate recurring reporting where possible
• Partner with Accounting and Finance teams on reporting requirements and data validation
• Develop and distribute regular management reports and presentations
• Evaluate existing FP&A and Opex processes, support standardization, automation and reporting enhancements, and help implement self-service reporting and planning tools

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field
• 3-5 years of FP&A, financial analysis or corporate finance experience
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes
• Excellent level of English (B2 or above)
• A plus: experience supporting Opex planning in a medium-to-large organization, exposure to finance transformation or reporting automation, knowledge of accounting concepts, month-end close and financial controls

Required skills

• Strong Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query and advanced financial modeling
• Planning and reporting tools such as Adaptive Insights, Power BI or Tableau
• Analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
