Fraud Prevention Specialist – Backoffice

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Fraud Prevention Specialist to work in our back‑office team. You will analyze alerts generated by our internal fraud detection systems, assess customer transactions, and determine whether activity is legitimate or fraudulent.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze fraud alerts triggered by internal monitoring tools.
• Assess customer details, transaction patterns, and account activity to identify potential fraud.
• Classify alerts as false positives, policy violations, cases needing further investigation, or confirmed fraud.
• Communicate with customers to gather additional documentation when required.
• Write detailed investigation narratives and maintain accurate case records.
• Execute account deactivations and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as needed.
• Label suspicious payments and escalate high‑risk cases.

Required profile

• Consistently meets or exceeds performance metrics for the past three months.
• Minimum 95% attendance record.
• At least one year of employment with TELUS International and six months in the current position.
• No active disciplinary actions.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work calmly under pressure.
