Head of Compliance – LATAM

About the role

OKX is looking for a senior compliance leader to oversee regulatory obligations across the LATAM region. The role will serve as the primary compliance authority, guiding the business through complex crypto regulations and ensuring robust risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engagement with regulators in all LATAM jurisdictions, handling inspections, inquiries and strategic positioning.
• Develop and coordinate a network of MLROs and compliance professionals across multiple markets.
• Embed compliance requirements into product launches, market expansions and strategic decisions together with senior business, legal and product leaders.
• Maintain and adapt compliance policies, procedures and controls to align with global standards and local regulations.
• Oversee compliance reviews, investigations and suspicious activity reporting, and submit periodic reports to authorities.

Required profile

• 10+ years of compliance experience in financial services, fintech or cryptocurrency, with a focus on AML/FT and sanctions.
• Deep knowledge of the LATAM regulatory landscape, especially Argentina and El Salvador, covering AML, data privacy, consumer protection and crypto‑related rules.
• Proven ability to manage KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD processes and ongoing monitoring.
• Strong analytical, research and due‑diligence skills, with excellent written and oral communication in Spanish and English.
• Relevant certifications such as CAMS or FIBA are a plus.
