Healthcare Collections Specialist (Bilingual)

About the role

Fusion CX is hiring Healthcare Collections Specialists in El Salvador to support medical billing operations and follow up on outstanding workers' compensation claims. The specialist acts as a liaison between healthcare providers in Southern California and the insurance carriers that cover treatment under workers' compensation, investigating unpaid claims and resolving billing discrepancies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an assigned clinic or healthcare project in Southern California.
• Review outstanding medical billing cases and investigate unpaid claims.
• Identify reasons for payment delays or denials, including authorization and billing discrepancies.
• Communicate with insurance carriers and claims adjusters to resolve claim issues and facilitate payment.
• Verify authorization, billing and claim information before each follow-up.
• Document every action, carrier response and next step in the case record.
• Meet collections, follow-up and quality targets for the assigned portfolio.

Required profile

• C1-level English, spoken and written.
• At least 18 years old and a valid identification document.
• High school diploma completed.
• Minimum 6 months of contact center experience, preferably in healthcare, medical billing, insurance or collections.
• Ability to review medical bills, authorizations and claim information to spot payment discrepancies.
• Availability for rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and for initial training with 100% attendance.

Required skills

• Navigate the web, work across multiple windows and systems, use email and Microsoft Office or Google tools.
• Functional typing and strong written English.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, persistence and accurate documentation.
• Preferred: previous BPO experience, knowledge of workers' compensation claims and familiarity with terms such as EOBs, CPT/ICD codes and claim denials.
