HR Business Partner Lead

About the role

The company is looking for a senior HR professional to design and lead the entire Human Resources function across multiple sites in El Salvador. Reporting directly to the Executive Management, you will shape culture, manage payroll, ensure legal compliance and drive talent acquisition.

Key responsibilities

• Define organizational values, execute an annual culture plan and measure employee climate at least twice a year.
• Maintain cohesion across more than ten operations, embedding equity and inclusion.
• Lead the full recruitment cycle: needs analysis, job descriptions, competency interviews, testing, references, hiring and onboarding.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly payroll for all staff, including statutory benefits, severance and settlements; manage interactions with ISSS, AFP and INSAFORP.
• Administer the digital time‑clock system, consolidate attendance reports, verify on‑site presence and analyse absenteeism.
• Ensure strict compliance with the Salvadoran Labor Code, maintain personnel files, manage work permits for foreign staff and keep internal policies up to date.
• Implement wellness programs, occupational health & safety initiatives, an annual training plan and succession planning for near‑retirement roles.
• Provide monthly KPI reports to the Executive Management and handle confidential matters with discretion.

Required profile

• University degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Labor Relations or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of generalist HR experience covering culture, recruitment and personnel administration.
• Proven experience preparing full payroll for 40+ employees, including benefits and settlements.
• Practical knowledge of the Salvadoran Labor Code and processes with ISSS, AFP, INSAFORP and the Ministry of Labor.
• At least one formally designed and executed culture or climate initiative with measurable results.
• Autonomous execution of the complete recruitment cycle using competency‑based interviews.
