IT Support Engineer I

About the role

Ria is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support for employees and business operations in El Salvador. The role ensures reliable day‑to‑day technology services and contributes to business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level onsite and remote support for hardware, software, operating systems, peripherals and basic network issues.
• Serve as the primary onsite IT presence, handling workstation provisioning, user onboarding/offboarding and physical device interventions.
• Maintain business continuity by responding quickly to critical incidents and coordinating with regional and global IT teams.
• Manage incidents and service requests in Jira, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
• Assist with endpoint deployments, software installations, patching, and hardware replacements following Ria IT standards.
• Collaborate with Network, Security, and Infrastructure teams to troubleshoot complex issues and support technology projects.
• Maintain IT asset records, support inventory management and create technical documentation.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in IT Support, Help Desk or Desktop Support, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a customer‑focused approach.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently onsite while collaborating with distributed IT teams.
