Junior Compliance Analyst – Financial Investigations Unit

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Compliance Analyst to join our Financial Investigations Unit (FIU). The role supports the Compliance Department by conducting due‑diligence reviews of customers and agents, helping to mitigate regulatory and reputational risks.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate potential suspicious activity by analysing transaction data, interviewing involved parties and documenting findings.
• Research and evaluate KYC/AML information to confirm the legitimacy of customers and agents.
• Validate transaction purpose, flag unusual patterns and recommend appropriate actions to management.
• Prepare detailed narratives and reports describing due‑diligence work and any detected suspicious activity.
• Escalate complex cases to supervisors and suggest remediation steps.
• Maintain organized records of investigations for audit and regulatory review.
• Interact with customers and agents via phone to gather information needed for ongoing investigations.

Required profile

• University degree preferred or high‑school diploma with at least one year of AML‑related experience.
• Knowledge of anti‑money‑laundering requirements for money‑service businesses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Excellent organizational ability, attention to detail and analytical mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and Pivot Tables.
