Legal & Compliance Virtual Assistant – Remote (Latam)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Legal & Compliance Virtual Assistant to support a U.S.-based client handling property and building compliance matters in New York City. The position is fully remote and open to candidates located in Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Track and monitor NYC building and property violations, including DOB, ECB, and OATH matters.
• Assist with documentation and administrative follow‑up related to violation corrections and compliance requirements.
• Review case information, notices, deadlines, and supporting documents to ensure records are complete and accurate.
• Maintain organized files and detailed status updates for active cases.
• Research case status through applicable NYC government systems and portals.
• Communicate professionally with clients, property managers, contractors, and other parties as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in legal assistance, property compliance, real estate administration, or building violations.
• Familiarity with NYC DOB, ECB, OATH processes and building codes is strongly preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English, excellent attention to detail, and ability to manage sensitive documentation independently.
• Experience working remotely with U.S.-based clients and using government portals or case‑tracking systems.
