Marketing Analyst – New Business & M&A

About the role

Toptal is seeking a Marketing Analyst to design, build, and own the marketing data infrastructure that supports newly acquired businesses and M&A targets. You will translate paid advertising performance into actionable metrics such as LTV, CAC, and ROAS, enabling data‑driven budget allocation and channel strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain end‑to‑end marketing data pipelines, integrating Google Analytics, Google Ads and other paid media platforms.
• Analyze paid advertising performance across channels, measuring spend efficiency, CAC, funnel conversion, ROAS and LTV.
• Develop Tableau dashboards, write SQL scripts and create predictive models to surface insights for marketing and business leaders.
• Rapidly assess and integrate marketing data from newly acquired companies, establishing consistent tracking, attribution and reporting.
• Partner with Business Analysts to align marketing metrics with revenue, unit economics and overall business performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence with a focus on marketing analytics.
• Proven experience measuring paid advertising performance and translating it into LTV, CAC and ROAS.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to perform root‑cause analysis, forecasting and hypothesis testing.

Required skills

• SQL proficiency.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau (or PowerBI, Qlik).
• Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ads and other paid media platforms.
• Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation (optional).
• Hands‑on use of Generative AI tools (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT) for analysis automation.
