Mercaderista – Trade Marketing & Merchandising

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Mercaderista to promote our products across various distribution channels. The role involves conducting tastings, free samples, special promotions and explaining product benefits to influence purchase decisions at points of sale.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend products to customers, providing detailed information on benefits, features, storage, packaging, distribution and contraindications.
• Execute merchandising activities in stores to stimulate sales and strengthen brand positioning.
• Carry out product demonstrations, tastings and free sample distribution using persuasive dialogue and brand scripts.
• Manage promotional materials, sampling equipment and maintain a professional appearance.
• Conduct surveys, product acceptance tests and internal marketing activities as required by the marketing manager.
• Travel between retail locations and occasionally between cities, maintaining constant direct contact with clients.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0‑2 years of experience in similar merchandising or customer‑service roles.
• Customer‑oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Availability to work Tuesday to Saturday (8:00 am‑5:00 pm) and Sunday (8:00 am‑12:00 pm).
