Network Administrator – Telecommunications & Security

About the role

The Network Administrator will support Gildan’s global telecommunications, networking, voice, data and security services. Reporting to the IT Network Admin Sr. Manager, the role combines operational support, technical troubleshooting and project work to ensure reliable and high‑performing network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality technical support and maintain strong customer service standards for telecommunications equipment and services.
• Analyze current network architecture, identify improvement opportunities and support implementation of new business requirements.
• Perform capacity planning, monitor system performance and prepare reports for telecom platforms.
• Contribute to business continuity planning by identifying risks and recommending solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external contractors and vendors for troubleshooting, service delivery and projects.
• Participate in after‑hours support and on‑call rotation, and act as Level 3 support for Service Desk escalations.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in IT, Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in telecommunications, networking or related infrastructure support.
• Ability to travel to support local and regional sites and work flexible hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French and Spanish are assets.

Required skills

• Cisco certifications or equivalent experience (CCNP/CCIE Routing & Switching, CCNP Wireless, CCVP Voice, Cisco Firepower Firewall).
• Knowledge of Silver Peak SD‑WAN, F5 technologies, Linux systems and scripting languages.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration tools.
