Preconstruction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced construction professional to join our team as a Preconstruction Manager. This remote position supports an international client and focuses on preconstruction planning, estimating, factory pricing, and bid management within the U.S. construction market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop preconstruction plans, cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.
• Perform accurate material takeoffs from construction documents and analyze supplier quotations.
• Identify scope gaps, drawing conflicts, specification ambiguities, and potential project risks.
• Manage bid deadlines, RFIs, addenda, proposals, and submission requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or bid management.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. construction processes, standards, and project workflows.
• Proven ability to handle multiple active bids and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for maintaining accurate estimating data.
• Construction estimating and cost analysis.
• Material takeoffs and interpretation of construction drawings, finish schedules, and specifications.
• Factory pricing and supplier quotation management.
