Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Maic is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop and maintain end‑to‑end web applications that power its operational intelligence and AI solutions. The position is full‑time, on‑site in San Salvador, and works closely with product, data and AI teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and optimise backend services and APIs, ensuring security and scalability.
• Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces using modern front‑end frameworks and CSS.
• Integrate AI and machine‑learning components into production systems.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, perform code reviews and write automated tests.
• Support continuous deployment pipelines and maintain system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine features, troubleshoot issues and improve development practices.

Required profile

• Strong full‑stack development experience with production‑ready applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on‑site in San Salvador, communicate effectively in English and Spanish, and mentor other engineers.

Required skills

• Back‑end development: API design, database integration, secure and scalable services.
• Front‑end development: modern frameworks, CSS, responsive UI design.
• Version control using Git and modern software engineering practices.
• System architecture knowledge and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Familiarity with integrating data and AI/ML services (a plus).
