Senior IT Support Specialist (On-site, San Salvador)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Senior IT Support Specialist to own projects end‑to‑end, build modern IT environments and act as the technical leader for our growing team. You will manage the full IT ecosystem, from Microsoft 365 and network infrastructure to virtual desktops and a brand‑new office build‑out, all on‑site in San Salvador.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365 services – Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Intune, handling users, licenses, security policies and compliance.
• Configure and support LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi and VPN environments, troubleshoot connectivity, performance and security issues, and coordinate with vendors.
• Support Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, AWS VDI or similar solutions, maintain Windows endpoints, patching and hardware lifecycle.
• Lead the IT planning for a new office location, including network and Wi‑Fi design, cabling, hardware selection, conference‑room AV and workstation deployment.
• Act as Tier 2/3 escalation point, mentor junior staff, create documentation, standards and procedures, and continuously improve security and efficiency.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive IT experience in a senior role.
• Strong Microsoft 365 and security administration background.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure AD, Intune and endpoint management.
• Solid networking knowledge (switches, Wi‑Fi, VPNs, LAN/WAN).
• Experience with virtual desktop environments.
• Proven ability to manage IT projects independently.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
