Senior Lead Developer - SAP & Software Development

About the role

Dollarcity, a retailer in Latin America with more than 700 stores in 5 countries, is looking for a Senior Lead Developer within its SAP & Software Development function. You will lead the design, evolution and delivery of software solutions that support critical business operations, driving the technical vision, architecture and development practices behind scalable, high-quality applications. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with collaboration with business stakeholders, functional analysts, product owners, QA and infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the software development team, guide technical decisions and help deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Translate business needs into robust technical designs, defining scope and implementation strategies with analysts and end users.
• Work with internal and external software providers to design integrations and define deployment roadmaps.
• Promote development best practices such as coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, quality tools and modern development environments.
• Define and manage the infrastructure supporting development, ensuring performance, reliability and scalability.
• Design and recommend software architectures aligned with business goals and technical sustainability.
• Evaluate and structure data models to support processing, reporting and interoperability.
• Set up monitoring and reporting to ensure application stability, observability and continuous optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years leading software development teams in complex, enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of .NET, Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Bilingualism in English and Spanish is essential.

Required skills

• Solid experience with SQL Server databases, including DDL, DML and scripting.
• Strong proficiency in Azure Cloud (or equivalent platforms) and their core services.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems and work across multidisciplinary teams.
