Senior Project Manager (Exterior Construction)

About the role

A New York-based exterior construction and restoration firm, which has completed more than 600 exterior restoration projects, is expanding its team of nearly 60 people and is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager. Working remotely from Latin America, you will work directly alongside the Principal to oversee and streamline exterior construction and restoration projects from initial planning to final delivery, acting as a force multiplier with strong PM systems, delegation and process organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent exterior projects (façade restoration, roofing, waterproofing, masonry, Local Law 11/FISP) from initiation to closeout
• Build and refine internal project management systems, tracking tools, workflows and communication standards
• Delegate tasks to remote team members and field crews and coordinate subcontractors, site crews, superintendents, vendors, clients, architects and engineers
• Maintain detailed schedules, track milestones and delays, and manage budgets, change orders, procurement and material deliveries
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, permits, field reports, progress updates and change orders
• Ensure projects meet NYC/NYS building codes, safety regulations and public project standards, and keep property managers, agencies, engineers and leadership informed

Required profile

• 5+ years of construction project management experience, specifically on US-based projects
• Experience in exterior construction, façade restoration, roofing, waterproofing, masonry or concrete
• Proven ability to delegate, set PM processes and KPIs, and lead multi-disciplinary teams
• Openness to using modern PM tools and platforms
• Exceptional written and spoken English; able to work independently with little supervision
• Nice to have: NYC/NYS building codes, Local Law 11/FISP and landmark experience, and established relationships with NYC architects, engineers, property managers and contractors
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture, or equivalent practical experience
