Senior QA Engineer - Remote

About the role

Kake is a remote‑first company that connects senior engineers worldwide. We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to own quality end‑to‑end, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and ensure reliable, well‑crafted software.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for web applications, APIs, and backend services.
• Perform manual testing to uncover functional, integration, usability, and edge‑case issues.
• Create, maintain, and improve automated test suites using modern frameworks.
• Validate AI‑generated code and features against quality, maintainability, and business requirements.
• Investigate defects, conduct root‑cause analysis, and work with developers on resolutions.
• Participate in requirement reviews and help identify risks early.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
• Strong experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, mobile apps, and backend systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.

Required skills

• Automation tools: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO (or similar).
• Programming/scripting languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C#.
• Testing of web applications, APIs, mobile apps, and backend services.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
