Staff Accountant – Hybrid (El Salvador)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our high‑performing finance team. The role supports multiple U.S.-based companies and is based in El Salvador with a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger reconciliations.
• Participate in month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Create journal entries, accruals and financial reports.
• Assist with profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support financial analysis, variance reporting and audit preparation.
• Leverage AI‑powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot to improve accounting processes.
• Identify and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with finance teams serving U.S. clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
• 3+ years supporting U.S. companies under U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced English (C1) and high level of integrity.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• NetSuite.
• QuickBooks.
• Microsoft Copilot (AI‑driven accounting tools).
• U.S. GAAP knowledge.
