Strategic Resource Management Consultant

About the role

The Strategic Resource Management Consultant will support the implementation of an IT Financial Management tool and drive financial and resource planning across the Technology and Transformation Department. This role combines analytical expertise with collaborative governance to ensure cost transparency and alignment with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring product‑level OKRs and ensure alignment with institutional and business priorities.
• Support the implementation and adoption of the IT Financial Management (ITFM) tool to improve cost transparency and funding allocation.
• Prepare executive reports and dashboards on budget execution, investment performance and cost transparency.
• Allocate, monitor and analyze capital and administrative budgets, providing financial analysis and investment proposals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, cost optimization, and strategic planning.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken); French or Portuguese a plus.
• Citizenship of an IDB member country and no close relatives employed by IDB.

• Strong budget planning and financial analysis capabilities.
