Systems Designer / AV Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Systems Designer / AV Engineer to create clear, buildable designs for a U.S.-based client delivering exceptional travel experiences. You will translate complex AV, automation, networking, lighting, security and infrastructure requirements into detailed engineering documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project proposals, bills of materials and comprehensive system designs.
• Maintain product information and engineering standards using D‑Tools Cloud.
• Review designs to identify missing components, connections, power needs and other potential field issues.
• Create rack elevations, wiring diagrams, system schematics and plan views.
• Document locations for TVs, speakers, keypads, lighting, shades, cameras, networking and pre‑wire.
• Calculate rack power, heat/BTU loads, ventilation and equipment requirements.
• Update designs and documentation as projects evolve.
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, programmers, technicians and installers to resolve design questions.

Required profile

• Ability to think in complete systems and understand interactions between technologies.
• Strong eye for detail and proactive problem identification.
• Capability to read architectural and construction plans.
• Comfort with learning new products, software and design standards.
• Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical teams.
