Technical Sales Engineer - Network Solutions

About the role

Vivant is a managed connectivity and network services company serving multi-location businesses such as restaurants, retail, healthcare and automotive dealerships. The Network Sales Engineer supports the sales team by owning the technical pre-sales process, bridging Sales, Project Coordination and Engineering. You will translate client requirements into the right network solution, coordinate technical cost analysis, recommend ISPs and prepare proposals. The role starts with joining client meetings and moves behind the scenes as Account Executives become more comfortable with technical discussions. It is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in discovery calls with the sales representative and document technical and business requirements
• Match client needs to Vivant's standard network packages and recommend firewalls, switches, wireless access points and network sizing
• Submit requirements to Project Coordinators, review cost analyses and recommend the best-fit ISP
• Prepare two to three solution options and proposals, then support the sales representative until the deal is signed
• Attend proposal review meetings and answer technical questions on firewalls, switches, VLANs, IP addressing, Wi-Fi design and WAP placement

Required profile

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and basic network design
• Prior sales experience able to move opportunities through the sales process
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational and analytical skills
• Comfortable following structured processes; preferred: experience selling connectivity, telecom, MSP or networking solutions, and supporting B2B sales
