Técnico en Instrumentación Electrónica – Monitoreo Estructural

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Specialist in Electronic Instrumentation to manage a structural monitoring network composed of 21 triaxial accelerometers, 3 GNSS receivers, data acquisition systems and complementary sensors. The role is fully onsite in El Salvador and requires relocation for a minimum of two years.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission sensors, data acquisition hardware and communication equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance plans and periodic calibrations according to manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose and resolve power, connectivity and signal acquisition faults, escalating to technical support contracts when needed.
• Monitor daily network availability and log service interruptions.
• Maintain inventory, intervention logs and calibration histories for each device.
• Apply safety protocols for work at heights and confined spaces during field interventions.

Required profile

• Technical or engineering degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or Instrumentation.
• Minimum three years of experience installing and maintaining instrumentation or data acquisition systems.
• Valid certification for work at heights or willingness to obtain it.
• Current driver’s license.
• Manufacturer‑specific training on the acquired instrumentation.

Required skills

• Installation and configuration of sensors and data acquisition systems.
• Signal conditioning and field power management.
• Remote communication system setup.
• Experience with seismic sensors, accelerometers and GNSS receivers.
• Knowledge of photovoltaic solar energy.
• Basic scripting for automated network status verification.
