Administrador de Plataforma IBMi, Power & AS400

About the role

The company is looking for a Platform Administrator specialized in IBM i (AS400) environments. The role involves remote support for regional clients, ensuring the health of IBMi equipment, handling backups, monitoring servers and producing analytical reports.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor AS400/IBMi servers, including alerts and resource health.
• Perform backup operations using native tools and BRMS.
• Support replication solutions such as Mimix and iCluster.
• Install PTFs and manage global security settings.
• Generate and deliver regular reports while meeting defined SLAs and metrics.
• Document procedures and escalate platform issues as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to resolve problems and ensure timely task completion.

Required profile

• 1‑4 years of experience managing AS400/IBM i environments.
• Degree in Computer or Systems Engineering; a master’s degree is a plus.
• Basic technical English proficiency.
• Proactive, responsible, and able to work autonomously and in a team.

Required skills

• IBM i (AS400) operations and administration.
• Native backups and BRMS.
• Mimix and iCluster replication software.
• PTF installation and global security management.
• Basic programming in CL, CLLE and RPG.
• Server monitoring and reporting.
