Administrador de Plataforma IBMi, Power & AS400

About the role

The company is looking for an IBMi Platform Administrator to manage and support AS400/IBM i environments for regional clients. The role involves basic administration of IBMi equipment, monitoring servers, handling backups, and producing analytical reports.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with defined SLAs and performance metrics.
• Monitor the health of the AS400/IBMi infrastructure, respond to alerts, and document procedures.
• Maintain backup processes (native and BRMS) and manage replication tools such as Mimix or iCluster.
• Install PTFs, apply security updates, and resolve technical incidents.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the team for problem resolution and escalation when necessary.

Required profile

• 1‑4 years of experience in managing, configuring, and maintaining AS400 environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering; a master’s degree is a plus.
• Basic technical English proficiency.
• Proactive, self‑managed, and strong customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• IBMi / AS400 platform operations.
• Backup management using native tools and BRMS.
• Replication software: Mimix and iCluster.
• Installation of PTFs and global security handling.
• Programming basics in CL, CLLE, and RPG.
