Bilingual Front Desk & Insurance Specialist – Pediatrics (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a fluent bilingual Medical Virtual Assistant to support a pediatric practice during Eastern Standard Time business hours. The role involves handling high‑volume patient calls, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance eligibility using eClinicalWorks.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound patient calls with a professional phone demeanor and manage the practice email inbox.
• Book, modify, and coordinate patient appointments directly within eClinicalWorks.
• Run real‑time insurance eligibility checks and confirm coverage before appointments.
• Provide general front‑office administrative support as needed.

Required profile

• Native or fully fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish; Portuguese is a strong plus.
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience using eClinicalWorks.
• Prior patient‑facing front‑desk or medical receptionist experience in a U.S. healthcare setting, preferably pediatrics.
• At least 1 year of experience handling the full insurance verification cycle.
• Full availability to work standard EST business hours (Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm).

Required skills

• eClinicalWorks (eCW) – practical usage for scheduling and patient management.

What we offer

• Full‑time contractor position (40 hours per week).
• Starting pay rate of $6 per hour, based on skill set and experience.
