About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accounting Assistant to join our finance team in San Salvador. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local tax and labor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the complete accounting cycle of the company.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Control and verify accounting records, perform reconciliations, and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Ensure compliance with tax obligations before the Ministry of Finance.
• Guarantee fulfillment of labor and municipal obligations.
• Provide reports for internal, external, and tax auditors.
• Develop budgets and financial analyses to support decision‑making.
• Apply accounting policies and internal procedures accurately.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Public Accounting.
• 1–3 years of experience as an accounting assistant or similar role.
• Strong sense of responsibility, professional ethics and ability to work under pressure.
• Analytical thinking, results orientation, and good communication skills.
• Leadership capability to drive processes.
• Current professional seal and credential (desirable).

Required skills

• IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Salvadoran tax legislation.
• SAP B1 accounting system.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
