Robotics Engineer – Remote (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a Robotics Engineer to design, implement and validate autonomous capabilities for mobile robots and manipulators. The role is fully remote, supporting El Salvador‑based talent, and focuses on perception, localization, planning and control using ROS 2.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robotics software modules in ROS 2, Python and C++ for perception, mapping, planning and control.
• Design, tune and integrate SLAM, sensor‑fusion and state‑estimation pipelines.
• Implement motion‑planning and trajectory‑generation algorithms with safety constraints and real‑time requirements.
• Create and maintain simulation workflows to accelerate autonomy testing and improve simulation‑to‑real transfer.
• Collaborate with machine‑learning and perception teams to validate computer‑vision models and define evaluation metrics.
• Define test plans, logging strategies and QA protocols to detect regressions and ensure reliable deployments.

Required profile

• Mid‑senior experience delivering robotics systems in production or advanced prototypes.
• Strong programming expertise in Python and C++ with robotics‑oriented design patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with ROS 2, message pipelines and debugging distributed robotic stacks.
• Solid fundamentals in kinematics, control theory, estimation and motion planning.
• Experience with perception and computer‑vision concepts, including sensor calibration and synchronization.
• Ability to write clear documentation, define acceptance criteria and run structured QA evaluations.
