Security Operations Analyst

About the role

The Security Operations Analyst will detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents across RSM’s systems, networks, cloud environments, and applications. You will protect enterprise assets by monitoring security controls, leading incident investigations, and driving continuous improvement of threat and vulnerability management programs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts, investigate incidents such as malware infections, account compromise, phishing attacks, and data security concerns.
• Coordinate incident response activities, execute containment, eradication, and recovery, and document lessons learned.
• Conduct threat hunting, manage detection capabilities in SIEM and EDR, and translate threat intelligence into actionable improvements.
• Execute vulnerability management processes, coordinate assessments, prioritize remediation, and communicate risk exposure.
• Analyze and improve existing security controls, develop metrics, dashboards, and support audit and compliance initiatives.
• Communicate security risks to IT leadership, support architecture reviews, and contribute to standards, policies, and playbooks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, incident response, or threat management.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills with ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and security monitoring technologies.
• Knowledge of security principles across operating systems, applications, networking, cloud platforms, and IAM.
• Python, PowerShell, or other automation/orchestration scripting.
• Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) concepts.
• Threat intelligence analysis and incident investigation methodologies.
