Bilingual RN Care Coordinator (Virtual Medical Assistant)

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner to work remotely as a Virtual Medical Assistant and Patient Care Coordinator for an orthopedics, pain medicine and PM&R practice. The role blends clinical judgment with administrative excellence to support high‑volume patient case management and ensure seamless communication across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and organize large, complex patient files and clinical records with meticulous accuracy.
• Conduct professional outreach to patients via phone, email and text, providing clear and compassionate communication.
• Verify and coordinate insurance coverage, including Commercial, Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation.
• Oversee provider calendars, schedule appointments and maintain smooth clinical workflow.
• Apply nursing judgment to triage patient inquiries, understand treatment contexts and streamline care without heavy supervision.

Required profile

• Active RN or NP license (non‑negotiable).
• Minimum 3 years of hospital nursing experience.
• At least 2 years of experience as a virtual medical assistant or similar remote role.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish with clear spoken English.
• Hands‑on experience with commercial, personal injury and workers’ compensation insurance verification.

Required skills

• Attention to detail and ability to handle heavy caseloads.

What we offer

• Full‑time contractor position (40 hours/week) with a schedule of Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm EST.
• Starting pay of $6 per hour, adjusted based on skillset and experience.
