FIU Compliance Associate

About the role

The FIU Compliance Associate will support Payward’s efforts to maintain a robust anti‑financial crime program within the crypto ecosystem. You will conduct investigations, prepare regulatory filings, and help the team adapt to changing transaction volumes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial investigations and draft SARs/STRs.
• Monitor transaction volume fluctuations and manage surges to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
• Utilize advanced tools and spreadsheet functions for data analysis.
• Balance individual production tasks with ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• 2+ years of anti‑financial crime experience, preferably in crypto.
• Strong understanding of compliance operational functions and risk mitigation.
• Attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Google Suite, especially Sheets and Docs.
• Comfort using AI and automation tools.
• Experience with Chainalysis, Elliptic, or TRM.
• Nice to have: certifications such as CAMS, ICA, CRCM, CRC.
• Nice to have: database and programming knowledge (SQL, Python).
