Network Engineer – Managed Services (Remote)

About the role

The Managed Services Network Engineer supports ISP/MSP customers by delivering and maintaining SD‑WAN, voice, and security solutions. This fully remote position focuses on troubleshooting, provisioning, and ensuring high‑quality service for a range of managed network services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end support for SD‑WAN (primarily Versa Networks), Internet, and related services.
• Troubleshoot and configure basic LAN components such as routers, firewalls, and Microsoft operating systems.
• Assist with provisioning and onboarding of new managed‑service customers.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Own support tickets from initiation to resolution, maintaining clear communication with customers.
• Mentor and train fellow engineers on complex technical problems.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a fast‑paced technical environment with strong SD‑WAN expertise, especially Versa Networks.
• CCNA and CCNP certifications are highly desirable.

Required skills

• SD‑WAN (Versa Networks) configuration and troubleshooting.
• Command‑line networking tools (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper).
• Firewall configuration (Fortinet).
• Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, VRRP.
• Basic router, firewall, and NAT knowledge.
• Understanding of COS/QoS and network design principles.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance processes.
