Procurement Assistant – Operations & Support

About the role

Ria Money Transfer is seeking a Procurement Assistant to provide operational and administrative support to its Procurement and Logistics team. The role involves executing procurement transactions, supporting reporting and compliance activities, and acting as a first‑line escalation point for routine issues. It is ideal for a procurement professional with 2–3 years of experience looking to grow into more advanced responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and related transactions within defined SLA timelines.
• Maintain accurate purchase order records, monitor open POs and escalate discrepancies.
• Assist buyers and team members in procuring goods and services.
• Provide procurement support to end users, including order follow‑up and status updates.
• Serve as the initial contact for Level 1 procurement and logistics inquiries.
• Support asset recovery tracking and maintain relevant logs.
• Prepare scheduled reports such as monthly asset recovery and open PO reports.
• Monitor SLA compliance, track performance data and raise risks.
• Assist with department audits, compliance reviews and routine reporting requirements.
• Help track procurement KPIs and support improvement projects.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in procurement or related functions.
• Ability to manage purchase orders, support buyers and liaise with internal stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail for record‑keeping and reporting.
• Capability to serve as a point of contact for routine inquiries and to escalate issues appropriately.
