Remote Accounting Associate (Finance Assistant)

About the role

Valatam is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Associate to work remotely supporting Latin‑American clients. The role is ideal for bilingual professionals who enjoy organizing financial data and ensuring accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions and prepare balance sheets.
• Track and reconcile bank statements.
• Create cost‑analysis reports for fixed and variable expenses.
• Process tax payments and support monthly payroll.
• Maintain organized accounts payable and receivable records.
• Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers, and partners.
• Provide administrative assistance during budget preparation.
• Participate in quarterly and annual audits.

Required profile

• Fluent in English (C1/C2) and Spanish.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting assistance.
• Quiet home office with stable internet (≥10 Mbps down / 2 Mbps up) and backup connection.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
