Senior QA Automation Engineer (LATAM)

About the role

Praxent, a team of 200+ people helping financial services clients modernize customer-facing software, is hiring a remote Senior QA Automation Engineer. The role is open to people living in El Salvador, Mexico or Colombia. You will enhance the team's capacity to deliver stories by the end of each sprint, mentor peers and act as a technical SME for the sprint.

Key responsibilities

• Perform automated and API testing for complex applications, document edge cases and assess risks, proposing changes to acceptance criteria
• Expand the team's automation, API and accessibility testing capabilities
• Document plans for anticipated risks and blockers, share best practices and mentor junior team members
• Act as technical SME in the sprint, prioritizing testing and improving acceptance criteria
• Conduct recruiting interviews and evaluate candidates
• Present testing plans, metrics and insights in sprint reviews and propose improvements to clients

Required profile

• 5-8+ years of professional experience in QA, including leading and executing automated testing for web and mobile apps
• Experience presenting to client stakeholders and articulating business outcomes
• Experience mentoring others, through collaboration and code reviews
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience

Required skills

• End-to-end test frameworks with Playwright, Cypress and/or Selenium (TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Python)
• Mobile testing with Appium (Java/Python)
• CI/CD integration of automated tests with GitHub Actions, Jenkins or Azure DevOps, including parallel execution and reporting
• Building a test automation framework from scratch
