About the role

The organization seeks a qualified labor law attorney to lead its employment compliance strategy and ensure fair, legally sound workplace relations. The professional will manage contractual documentation, disciplinary processes, and represent the company before labor authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and register individual employment contracts, addenda, and related documents with the Ministry of Labor.
• Prepare, update, and obtain approval for the Internal Work Regulations and ensure proper implementation.
• Provide legal‑labor advice to managers, supervisors, and HR teams.
• Conduct disciplinary procedures, including summons, hearings, evidence analysis, and drafting of minutes.
• Document and justify disciplinary measures in compliance with Salvadoran law.
• Prepare and manage legally robust termination files.
• Represent the organization in administrative conciliations and labor inspections.
• Coordinate external counsel for labor litigation defense.
• Handle cases involving special protections such as maternity, union rights, and health conditions.
• Lead confidential internal investigations of harassment, discrimination, or code‑of‑ethics violations.
• Support the formation and operation of internal prevention committees.
• Train leaders on disciplinary processes, feedback, and personnel management within the legal framework.

Required profile

• Licensed attorney in the Republic of El Salvador, authorized by the Supreme Court of Justice.
• Minimum four years of experience in labor relations or corporate labor legal advisory in El Salvador.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Labor Code, ISSS Law, Pension Law (SAP), and Union Neutrality Law.
• Proven ability to manage disciplinary processes, termination letters, and prepare evidence for labor trials.
• Experience with labor conciliations, Ministry of Labor inspections, and special‑protection cases.
• High confidentiality, legal rigor, and sound decision‑making under pressure.
• Full‑time, on‑site availability at the Hospital El Salvador annex.
