AI & Data Operations Specialist

About the role

Hermes AI Systems helps companies become AI‑ready by building data foundations and custom AI agents. As an AI & Data Operations Specialist you will work on client engagements, preparing data, automating processes, and deploying intelligent agents under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Organize, clean, and connect client business data using Supabase (PostgreSQL), Python and API integrations.
• Build and deploy automated workflows with FastAPI on Railway and Microsoft Azure to streamline operations, marketing and administrative tasks.
• Develop, test and maintain multi‑step AI agents that use tool‑calling and provide answers grounded in real data.
• Support client delivery through training sessions, readiness assessments and onboarding.
• Identify bottlenecks in existing processes and propose fixes via code, AI tools or automation.
• Maintain clear technical documentation for all systems, automations and processes.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in development, automation, data or technical operations.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to work directly with US‑based clients.
• No formal degree required, though a background in engineering, computer science or mathematics is a plus.

Required skills

• Python programming
• JavaScript/TypeScript scripting
• Relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Microsoft Azure basics
• Experience with AI tools and large language models
• JSON and REST API integration
• Building LLM agents with tool‑calling
• Familiarity with Claude Code, Supabase and Railway
• FastAPI framework
