Analista de Importaciones

About the role

The Import Analyst will manage all documentation and logistics related to international shipments, ensuring compliance with legal and customs regulations while providing clear visibility of order status to internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and control import documents such as invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB and track shipments with freight forwarders.
• Validate purchase requests, generate purchase orders in SAP and record them for traceability.
• Obtain freight and insurance quotes from multiple forwarders under the agreed Incoterm and request commercial invoices, packing lists and technical data sheets from suppliers.
• Authorize carrier pick‑up, review and approve draft bills of lading, record actual departure dates (ATD) and calculate estimated arrival dates (ETA).
• Provide weekly status updates to each requesting department and keep the import register continuously updated.

Required profile

• Completed university degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Knowledge of foreign trade operations, commercial treaties, and customs regimes.
• Experience handling port operations and national or regional shipments.
