Cloud Architect – Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

About the role

You will design, manage, and optimise cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and reliable solutions that support modern application delivery and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Propose and implement best practices for cloud architecture, security, governance, scalability and reliability.
• Write and maintain Terraform configurations to manage GCP infrastructure as code.
• Design and maintain infrastructure, network, topology and service diagrams for Development, QA and Production environments.
• Support and optimise CI/CD lifecycle processes and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with technical teams to guide cloud implementation strategies and operational‑excellence initiatives.
• Take ownership of assigned cloud environments, ensuring stability, security and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (desirable).
• 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, specifically with GCP.
• Strong understanding of DevOps culture and operational best practices.
• Experience guiding Cloud Engineering teams.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect and/or Associate Cloud Engineer (nice to have).

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform services: Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Google Container Registry (GCR).
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Containerisation with Docker.
• CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Cloud Build, SonarQube, CircleCI.
• Linux administration and networking troubleshooting.
• Cloud networking and perimeter security best practices.
