COE Engineer

About the role

GBM is looking for a motivated COE Engineer to join its IT team in El Salvador. The role focuses on managing storage and backup solutions, ensuring data protection and optimal performance of critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administration and basic operation of IBM and Dell storage systems.
• Administration and basic operation of backup solutions such as Veeam Backup, NetBackup and Avamar.
• Handling ITIL processes related to backup services and maintaining backup certifications.
• Optimizing performance and capacity of storage environments.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience within GBM or in a similar position.
• Advanced experience (2+ years) in storage and backup administration.
• University studies in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent diploma).
• Basic English proficiency (B1 or higher) for communication with vendors and technical documentation.
• Availability to work 24/7 rotating guard shifts.
