Compliance Manager

About the role

The Compliance Manager will lead Bybit’s compliance, AML/CFT, sanctions and regulatory framework for its operations in El Salvador. You will ensure the company meets all legal and licensing obligations while fostering a strong culture of financial‑crime prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain compliance, AML/CFT, sanctions and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Monitor ongoing adherence to applicable laws, regulations, license conditions and internal standards.
• Conduct compliance and financial‑crime risk assessments and propose mitigation measures.
• Oversee customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and suspicious activity reporting.
• Investigate compliance incidents, control weaknesses and potential regulatory breaches.
• Manage regulatory reporting, support inspections, examinations and audits.
• Provide compliance advice to business, operations and management teams.
• Deliver AML and compliance training programmes to employees.
• Prepare compliance reports and management information for senior leadership and governance committees.
• Serve as primary contact for regulators, auditors and external stakeholders on compliance matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in compliance, AML, financial‑crime or regulatory roles within banking, payments, fintech or virtual‑asset businesses.
• In‑depth knowledge of El Salvador AML/CFT, financial‑services and virtual‑asset regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience interacting with local regulators, law‑enforcement agencies or financial intelligence units.
