Finance & Accounting Intern

About the role

Tigo is looking for a Finance & Accounting Intern in El Salvador, with a project duration of 6 months. The intern provides full support for the accounting and financial operations of the area, through reports, analysis and tracking of business indicators that contribute to continuous improvement of planning, forecasting and budget control.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of executive reports and materials for monthly meetings and quarterly reviews.
• Support the analysis of accounting records and financial provisions.
• Contribute to developing and updating financial dashboards and forecasts.
• Track spending of assigned business units, analysing quarterly, annual and historical trends.
• Support improvements to financial planning and forecasting processes and methodologies.
• Monitor key financial and operational KPIs and produce clear, timely reports.
• Take part in financial simulations and scenario modelling to assess impacts on cash flow and profitability.

Required profile

• Graduate of Public Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Interest in gaining practical experience in financial analysis, budgets, forecasts and business indicator tracking.
• Attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Communication and teamwork skills.
• Good understanding of financial procedures and concepts.

Required skills

• Intermediate SQL knowledge.
• Intermediate Excel and Power BI.
• Accounting and financial analysis.
• Understanding of budgets, consolidation processes and negotiations.
