Indirect Tax Manager (Hybrid, El Salvador)

About the role

RGP is recruiting an Indirect Tax Manager for a global tax organization based in Guatemala City, working on taxability, tax calculations, tax technology and cross-functional initiatives in a complex global environment. The role is hybrid, with three days per week onsite in El Salvador.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review indirect tax and VAT requirements across LATAM, including local tax rules, taxability determinations and tax calculations.
• Interpret local indirect tax legislation and ensure tax rules and calculations are correctly applied to business transactions.
• Partner with Finance, Tax, Technology and business stakeholders to support indirect tax processes and compliance.
• Review and maintain tax rules and calculations, and identify opportunities to strengthen tax processes and controls.
• Support sales tax and indirect tax engines, including tax rule configuration, system integrations and ongoing system management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5-7 years of experience in indirect tax, preferably in retail, consumer goods, e-commerce or another large multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of VAT and indirect tax regulations across LATAM.
• Experience reviewing taxability, tax rules and tax calculations.
• Advanced English required.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with tax technology and ERP environments.
• Experience with SAP, Vertex and/or ONESOURCE is highly desirable.
• Experience with sales tax engine integration, rule creation, configuration and system management is highly valued.
